Ronda Rousey retirement rumors continue to circulate online and it appears the former Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight champion could not hide her frustrations anymore.
Rousey posted a photo on her official Instagram account with “FTA” as caption. According to Daily Caller, the FTA message could be Rousey’s response to all her bashers, particularly those who are saying she will retire soon.
Previously, another photo on Instagram surfaced, showing Rousey allegedly training her little sister. The image stirred speculation that she could retire and just focus on a coaching career.
However, all reports about Rousey’s future are pure speculations. The mixed martial arts superstar remains mum about her plans, particularly on her possible comeback at UFC 205 in November.
Ronda Rousey Skipping UFC 205 New York Fight Card?
Rousey was reportedly eyeing a return at UFC 205, which will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York. It will be the first UFC fight card in New York and is tipped to become a huge event. She was one of the biggest names who fought for the legalization of MMA events in New York.
But according to MMA insider Dave Meltzer, a return this year is highly unlikely. Meltzer said that one person close to Rousey said that the 29-year-old will likely take a hiatus until early next year.
“We don’t usually talk Ronda Rousey business. But I just go, ‘what’s your thoughts? Is Ronda gonna be ready to fight at the garden?’ And they said, ‘no, probably early 2017.’ So that was the impression I was given two weeks ago,” Meltzer told Submission Radio via MMA Mania.
Reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes is eyeing a shot at Rousey. But it appears she will likely wait a little bit longer before getting the chance. It is also worth noting that Rousey recently underwent knee surgery and looks busy fulfilling her endorsement deals.
Do you think Rousey will still return to erase the memory of her bitter second-round knocko
ut loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November last year?
