Is Ronda Rousey retiring? Not so fast, says her boyfriend Travis Browne.
Browne addressed speculations about Rousey’s future, saying that the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion is in good condition. The UFC heavyweight contender said that his girlfriend is doing well — physically and mentally.
“Physically and mentally doing great,” Browne told Brett Okamoto. “I feel bad for whoever’s next.”

Rousey has not fought since absorbing a disastrous second-round knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November last year. The mixed martial arts superstar admitted that she struggled to accept her first defeat.
In fact, Rousey herself confirmed that she considered taking her own life but thoughts about Browne made her think twice. “I saw my man Travis was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive,” she said.
However, as for her UFC career, there were reports that Rousey might not come back after all. The former champion reportedly lost the fire in her and just want to focus on her personal life. There were also rumors suggesting that she was pregnant, which she later denied.
But when will Ronda Rousey fight again?
According to a recent report from Fox Sports, Rousey is in talks with UFC about a possible fight later this year. If things push through, fans could see “Rowdy” back in the Octagon in fight card on Dec. 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
If she returns in December, Rousey will likely face reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. UFC president Dana White previously said that Rousey will get an immediate title shot in her comeback fight.
White is already excited to see Rousey back, saying that her return bout will be bigger than the Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz bouts. “I think Ronda Rousey’s return will be the biggest pay-per-view we’ve ever done,” he said.
