It’s still less than a year before Star Wars Episode VIII hits theaters, but Rogue One: A Star Wars Story may beat the run! Recent spoilers for the movie will showcase a twist in the story wherein the Rebel Alliance would be able to steal the plans for the Death Star.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will showcase the quest to put an end to Darth Vader, reports Den of Geek. The report indicates that the Dark Lord of the Sith won’t be the main villain. He is said to be a puppet-master who will not have a lead role in the franchise, but will still be featured in one of the battles.
The theory surfaced when a replica of the Vader armor was revealed on set. Vader would be battling the Rebels and he may be able to shield out of the human Rebel troops using his telekinetic skills.
Another villain would be Moff Tarkin. The Death Troopers will also be seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and they would be allegedly looking “retroish.”
Spoilers also reveal that an Imperial droid will be seen in black or gray shades. Since it was revealed by Lucasfilm that Alan Tudyk will be part of the movie, theories point out that he may be the one to play the role.
In other news, Cinema Blend reports that a toy fair would be held at Nuremberg, Germany this weekend. Based on Star Wars history, these figurines have been the source of spoilers and giveaways on what to expect for upcoming films of the franchise.
At present, a LEGO set inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was revealed, revealing interesting facts about Boba Fett’s ship, Slave 1.
Other theories point out that Felicity Jones’ character could be Lyra Erso, Boba Fett’s daughter. This theory surfaced when she allegedly took Mads Mikkelsen’s ride for a rest drive.
