Rockstar Games is not only well-known for its Grand Theft Auto titles. When it released “Red Dead Redemption” way back at the beginning of this decade, fans have been clamoring for more: a sequel, a spinoff, anything that involves the return to the more twisted version of the Wild, Wild West.
Now, it seems that Rockstar is about to drop something big. The game studio’s Facebook and Twitter pages are now filled with a specific shade of red that can only connote Red Dead’s return. It’s not every day a single color is able to make gamers this excited.
Going to Rockstar’s website would result to seeing the same shade of red. A post on Rockstar Newswire is painted with the same color as well, and its comments section is riddled with posts from fans of the western action-adventure game.
We’ll still have to wait for a while before Rockstar eventually reveals the mystery. Perhaps it’s only a remaster or a minor spinoff. Perhaps it’s an entirely new game, which is highly unlikely, considering that the shade of red is present in promotional materials of “Red Dead Redemption.”
“Red Dead Redemption” follows the story of John Marston, a former outlaw forced to return to his grim past after his family is kidnapped by the government. It was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010.
