There could be a lot of rumours around the developments in Drake and Rihanna’s relationship, but the rapper’s father, Dennis Graham, dismissed the possibilities, saying they’re just friends. Rihanna appeared to be not so happy about the remark as she was spotted at Drake’s Summer Sixteen concert in Los Angeles on Saturday wearing a stressed out and unhappy expression.
“They’re friends, they’ve been friends for years,” Graham was quoted as saying by the Mirror when asked about the blossoming relationship between his son and the ‘Diamonds’ singer. “I don’t know about settling down, no they’re friends.
He remained strong on his stance about the relationship when asked about the rumours of the love. “There’s no relationship, they’re friends.”
Rumours of an affair between RiRi and Drake started flying when the songstress got a camouflage shark tattoo on her foot. Drake was also spotted sporting the same tattoo, the International Business Times reported. The tattoos, reportedly, are a mark of the time when Drake took RiRi to an aquarium in Toronto and gifted her a stuffed camouflage shark.
But Graham refused to pay much heed to the tattoo saying anyone could get an inking.
Talks on their alleged affair started off once again when Drake presented Rihanna the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs and said that he loved Rihanna since he was 22. The lady took to Instagram to reply to Drizzy, saying it was a “sweet” gesture and that she loves him for that.
The rumours had it that the rapper was even prepared for an engagement.
“Drake is very committed to Rihanna. They are both mature and ready to commit now. Drake loves Rihanna so much and if it was up to him, he would marry her tomorrow,” a source told E! News. “Things are different this time between them for the better. They want to make this work this time with each other.”
