Miami Beach police has received a call informing them about four people shot inside the house of rapper Lil Wayne, only to find it a hoax, the Associated Press reported.

It turns out, the only shooter related to Lil Wayne is Shooter, one of the rapper’s songs in his third album Tha Carter II.

According to the report, the call came at around 12:40pm, claiming four people were shot inside Lil Wayne’s exclusive house situated on an island near Miami Beach.

An armed SWAT team responded as soon as possible, but they found no signs of a shooting. Even the rapper was not in the house when they arrived, police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said.

“We can say for sure it was a hoax,” he said. “It’s not a laughing matter.”

Chris Chambers, representative for Lil Wayne, informed that the Grammy-winning rapper had been in a recording studio.

The Miami Beach Police soon tweeted about what happened, referring to the hoax as another case of “swatting,” in which prank callers provoke police into sending a SWAT team in the house of another person.

In 2007, Lil Wayne had been arrested for smoking marijuana near a bus, and in 2009, he pleaded guilty for criminal possession of a weapon.
