Action-Comedy film, “Red”, gets NBC adaptation into the small screen. Will Bruce Willis star in this TV version? Find out below.
Deadline reports that the movie is planned to be turned into a one-hour show. The TV show is the brainchild of Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber, who both wrote the movies in 2010 and 2013 respectively.
Lionsgate TV will be producing it with Di Bonaventura Pictures Television, the report says.
“RED” stands for Retired Extremely Dangerous operatives, and featured the big names, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren and Karl Urban, who all played dangerous and hunted characters in and around the CIA. The movie was so successful, it garnered $200 million in its worldwide release and spun off a sequel 3 years after. The second movie, wasn’t that successful though, gaining only $148 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
