“Captain Marvel” casting rumors are doing the rounds for days and the latest of them surrounds Rebecca Ferguson. The actor who stars in “The Girl On The Train,” is being eyed to play Captain Marvel.
Ferguson came under the limelight with “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” and was then cast for Gambit. However, she took herself out of Gambit and chose to be part of “The Girl On The Train” with Emily Blunt. If rumors are to be believed, she is going to be part of Captain Marvel, the movie scheduled to release in 2018.
The other notable movies of the Swedish actress are “The White Queen” and “Hercules” but she will be remembered for a long time for her role as Ilsa Faust in “Rogue Nation.”
“Captain Marvel” is one of the characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to get her own film in phase 3. The other characters who got the same opportunity are Doctor Strange and Black Panther. The story of Captain Marvel is being written by Nicole Perlman and Megan LeFauve. The story is still not clear. The storyline, along with other characters of the story, are not revealed by any of the writers and producers. We don’t really know if it is too early to cast “Captain Marvel,” because there are three more years before the film is released.
The movie is set to release on November 2, 2018.
