Rafael Nadal Stars In Steamy New Commercial

“Oops,” Rafael Nadal seems to say to the camera after performing a locker room strip-tease.

“Oops,” Rafael Nadal seems to say to the camera after performing a locker room strip-tease.

Yes, Nadal is in an underwear ad for Tommy Hilfiger. Nadal is a hell of a tennis player. The sleek waistband gels with his physics.

Later on Wednesday, the Spanish player, while shooting for a new commercial did, what most people do in Manhattan. He walked around and played tennis shirtless. Then afterwards, he put on a sports coat, something he can’t do while featuring in the coming U.S. Open. Everything for the new promotional deal.

His form and fitness hasn’t lived up to expectations in the recent major tournaments, but that doesn’t deter Rafael Nadal to start his venture in the fashion world.

The 29-year-old signed a two-year agreement with the fashion garment giants as a brand ambassador, beginning this fall.

At Bryant Park, New York, the eighth-ranked superstar will be appearing on a celebrity tennis tournament organized by Tommy Hilfiger. The extravaganza will be attended by people like Jane Lynch, Lake Bell, Martha Stewart, Chanel Iman, Hannah Davis and Noah Mills and is open for general public.

Nadal is also scheduled to appear in a question-and-answer segment of the promotional campaign moderated by Lloyd Boston in Macy’s fragrance department.

Hilfiger told the press that this fall, the brand is relaunching its underwear business, which it has for 20 years.

“Because we’re so global now, Rafael Nadal resonates globally in most countries in the world. He also looks amazing in the underwear and the clothes,” Hilfiger said.

“He’s not doctored up, that’s the real guy,” said the designer, discussing the ads.
