Snapdragon 820 is the new CPU for mobile from Qualcomm, as announced by the company. The processor will be 40 percent faster than the previous version.
The newly improved Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm will allow more complex games to be played. Adreno 530 GPU is another latest addition of the company which will provide mobiles with more diverse features alongside Snapdragon 820.
According to the company, Adreno 530 GPU will also be 40 percent faster than the previous version. The advancement was possible due to Qualcomm’s EcoPix and TruPalette technology. Adreno 530 is the first of the Adreno 5xx series GPU.
The earlier Snapdragon 810 CPU was also quite fast and was used in some high-end mobile phones.
The Snapdragon 820 Specs
The new processor serves more than just improving the speed of the device where it is used. The Spectra camera image unit will be the new addition into it. This camera will bring hybrid autofocus frames, a wide range of colors, and a better digital zoom. The zooming experience can get smoother with the Adreno 530 GPU. Spectra will also support the latest 14-bit sensor, which provides the wider range.
Qualcomm is expecting to bring the 820 CPU to cars very soon.
The company blog also stated that the Snapdragon 820 with the Adreno 530 will be out in the market around the beginning of 2016. There will be more premium technologies added to the processor and will be compatible with most high-end mobiles that are in the market.
