“Prison Break” is back for a revival and we listed down all the things you need to know about the upcoming return of the drama.
Fox has already confirmed that “Prison Break” revival is all set last January. Though there has not been any specific numbers of episodes from the network so fans of the drama should watch out for, “Prison Break” revival is said to occupy the timeslot of “Bones” 9pm.
But “Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller has already dished major details about the revival, and even confirming the number of episodes for the show.
He said that the “Prison Break” revival will have its release date by spring 2017 and it has nine new episodes, a Melty report said.
Wentworth Miller, along with Dominic Purcell, will return to reprise their roles as Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows respectively.
The “Prison Break” revival will start with Lincoln discovering that Michael is still alive and see him battle against their enemies so he can be freed in Yemeni prison.
But Wentworth Miller hinted that there could be more of this.
“I can tell you it’s seven years later, and you can expect a lot more of the same things that you loved first time around,” he said. “And it will also be quite different as the characters have changed, so my character in particular is no longer just a hero – he’s a few other things as well. I think the fans will get a kick out of it.”
He also hinted about a possible “Prison Break” season 6 after the revival.
“And then depending on how it’s received, and who’s available, there could be another conversation about another bite of the apple,” the actor teased. “We’ll see…”
According to reports, “Prison Break” revival was made possible by fans support through the boost of streaming after it has been showed in Netflix, Den of Geek said.
