It has been confirmed! “Prison Break” 2016 is indeed around the corner as its trailer has just been released, along with the confirmation of its premiere.
The trailer of the highly-anticipated return of the Fox television serial drama, released on Monday, talked about how Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) discovered that his brother, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is still alive, according to Comic Book.
Seven years after its season 4 ended, Burrows was seen trying to hack a strategy to save his brother who was still “locked in prison.” However, amid his plan of helping him escape, it appeared that he has been framed up once again.
But with his engineering expertise, would he be able to help his brother out of prison in “Prison Break” 2016? This is something that the series’ followers must follow through.
Set to air on Thursdays at 8 p.m. starting this fall, Cinema Blend pointed out that by having such timeslot, “Fox has faith that the series will earn some solid numbers as part of the midseason schedule.”
It can be recalled that for its first three seasons, it used to have a Monday schedule, while its fourth season was shown every Friday.
Amid the assertion that both brothers are still alive at the start of “Prison Break” 2016, Cinema Blend hinted that it must be explained well so that fans would have the interest to follow their journey especially that Scofield’s death was somehow faked after he was shown dying of brain tumor.
In the meantime, Just Jared shared that Miller and Purcell, along with Sarah Wayne Callies, who portrays the role of Scofield’s wife Sara, were spotted together on stage during the 2016 Fox Upfront Presentation on Monday at the Beacon Theater in New York City for the debut of their show’s revival on Fox.
Apart from them, Amaury Nolasco (Sucre), Robert Knepper(T-Bag) and Rockmond Dunbar (C-Note) are also coming back for “Prison Break” 2016.
