Princess Charlotte Meets Queen Elizabeth

Three-day-old Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana has met her great-grandmother, The Queen. After the meeting, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge officially registered the birth of Princess Charlotte.

Queen meets Royal Baby Princess Charlotte

The meeting is an historic occasion in the United Kingdom as it was the very first time a serving sovereign had met a great-granddaughter born in direct succession on the male line. The last time this happened was 118 years ago in 1897 when Queen Victoria met George’s VI sister, Princess Mary, The Telegraph reported.

The meeting between The Queen and Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge took place at Kensington Palace. Queen Elizabeth was said to be attending an event in north Yorkshire when Princess Charlotte was born that it took her three days before she can meet the new princess.

Queen Elizabeth seemed to have dressed up for the occasion as she was wearing colored pink outfit, The Telegraph noted. The meeting lasted for about 30 minutes before she was seen leaving the palace.

After meeting the Queen, Prince William and Kate Middleton have formally registered the birth of Princess Charlotte.

On the entries for her parent’s jobs, Prince William wrote “Prince of the United Kingdom” and the Duchess wrote “Princess of the United Kingdom.”

Legoland Winsor

Legoland Winsor has added Princess Charlotte to its popular Royal scene.

“Our guests have a real soft spot for the Miniland Royal Family, so we didn’t think twice about celebrating the birth of Princess Charlotte by adding her into our hugely popular Royal scene. Updating our Royal family has become something of a tradition here at Legoland Windsor,” Sue Kemp, Divisional Director of the Legoland Windsor Resort, told The Mirror.

“We’ve had a lot of fun with them over the years – from recreating the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in miniature and commissioning tiny bespoke Royal Ascot hats for the Royal ladies, to throwing Prince George a teeny first birthday garden party last summer. We hope guests will enjoy our latest Royal addition as much as we do,” Kemp said.
