Prince William’s ex-girlfriend, Rose Farquhar, failed to qualify in the finals of The Voice UK. The pretty lady said she felt “gutted” after she failed for the blind audition.
Farquhar made the headlines after it was revealed that she was actually Prince William’s first love. She dated Prince William in 2000, after he finished his ‘A’ level. They met at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire. She is considered to be the first serious girlfriend of the prince who dated a number of ladies before he met Kate Middleton. Rose and Prince William are in good terms though their romance could not be fulfilled. They have some common friends and thus, they usually meet at society weddings. Rose is the daughter of Captain Ian Farquhar, master of the Beaufort Hunt. She has known the future king, Prince William since she was a child, Daily Mail reports. She even informed the prince before she went for the show. He also gave her his blessings.
Farquhar sang on the final episode of the blind auditions for the BBC One show, The Voice. Rose performed for British singer Boy George, Ricky Wilson, Paloma Faith and US artist, will.i.am. She sang Anyone Who Had A Heart. “I have sung since I was a little girl, singing really makes me tick,” she said on the show as quoted by Mirror. “I feel completely gutted, but really proud and glad that, you know, I got the opportunity,” she added.
This is not the first time when Prince William’s first girlfriend is participating in a show. She previously appeared in How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? That was in 2006 and she proceeded to the last 18.
Rose Farquhar is currently working as a Luxury brand promoter for Land Rover and Harrods. Catch up the performances on The Voice is on BBC1 on Saturday 20 February at 7.15pm.
