On Tuesday, The Duke of Cambridge Prince William and brother, Prince Harry, spent some time in the “Star Wars” set at Pinewood Studios in England. The sons of Prince Charles and the Princess of Wales Diana had fun acting like the ultimate fanboys they are in this particular visit.
Prince Harry and Prince William were spotted having a good lightsaber fight, as the brother revealed that they are a huge fan of the epic space opera series.
According to E Online, Prince Harry and Prince William were toured by the English actress who portrayed the character Rey in “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” – Daisy Ridley. The brothers also had the pleasure to meet the British actor famous for playing Finn — John Boyega as well as the American actor best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy – Mark Hamill. Of course, Prince Harry and Prince William came into the presence of Rian Johnson (director of Star Wars: Episode VIII) too.
Kensington Palace announced the occasion on social media. A post from the official Twitter account of the royal residence read, “The royal siblings’ visit will acknowledge the wealth of fantastic British creative talent involved in the production of the @starwars films.” The tweet continued, “The Duke and Prince Harry will visit production workshops @PinewoodStudios, meeting the specialist teams working on the @starwars films.”
As stated by The Wrap, besides the brothers’ lightsaber fun, the Duke of Cambridge also had a warm embrace with the legendary Wookiee warrior and the co-pilot of Han Solo, Chewbacca. The BBC claimed that the royal siblings were also among the first privileged individuals to get a sneak preview of the forthcoming “Star Wars: Episode VIII.”
Star Wars: Episode VIII is slated to fire up in 2017.
