The secretive, boyfriend-stealing Melissa Hastings has a heart after all… or does she? There is good chance that she might be Charlotte’s killer, and she does all these for her sister Spencer.
“Pretty Little Liars” season 7 is set to blow people’s minds with the big reveal of who could have killed Charlotte, the person who, till the middle of the previous season, was hiding behind the mask of “A.” And one of the top contenders for the murder is Spencer’s big sister Melissa.
After burying alive a stranger, murdering an ex-convict who tortured her sister for six years would not be a far cry for Melissa. Her broken suitcase handle, discovered by Spencer and Caleb in season 6, which matches the exact description of the weapon used to murder Charlotte, was definitely a big hint.
And from the cryptic behavior of Melissa, it is clear that something is definitely going on in her mind that she does not want others to discover. However, knowing Spencer and her curiosity, she will probably not stop digging until she finds some much-needed answers.
So will Melissa turn out to be Charlotte’s killer? Torrey Devitto, who plays Melissa on “Pretty Little Liars,” certainly thinks so.
“You never know, I think, on this show especially, anything is possible,” Torrey said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
But what could be the motive behind Melissa killing Charlotte? Surely she does not do it out of love for Spencer, since they have never shared the typical sisterly bond on the show?
“It’s not a sisterly relationship that I would particularly want in my family. But, at the end of the day, as crazy as everything is they have had each other’s back in very odd, pseudo-aggressive ways here and there… I personally don’t think she’s trying to do her harm,” said Torrey.
There are a lot of twists and turns coming up in season 7 of “Pretty Little Liars,” which premieres on June 21, reports CarterMatt. While there have been rumors about season 7 being the final installment of the series, nothing has been confirmed yet.
If it does happen to be the end of the series, then the creators are most likely scrambling to tie up all the loose ends as convincingly as possible. Whatever the case is, viewers can expect a lot of jump scares and action from “Pretty Little Liars” season 7!
