Pokemon GO has gotten so competitive, some players are willing to cheat their way to the top. However, Niantic has started a crackdown on the cheats, with some accounts up for permanent bans. So can players still hack their way to the game?
There have been countless hacks and cheats that went around, especially when Pokemon GO was starting. However, as days passed and more players are trying to get ahead of others, Niantic has become more aggressive in banning people who try to work around the rules of the game.
Niantic made it clear that it does not appreciate any form of cheating, and that it will use drastic measures to those caught. Temporary bans were already in place, but it appears Niantic wants to do more.
“Your account was permanently terminated for violations of the Pokémon GO Terms of Service,” said Niantic in the game’s FAQ section.
“This includes, but is not limited to: falsifying your location, using emulators, modified or unofficial software and/or accessing Pokémon GO clients or backends in an unauthorized manner including through the use of third party software.”

The company also made it clear: “Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone. We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine tuning of our anti-cheat system. If you believe your account has been terminated in error incorrectly, you can appeal that termination through this form. For privacy reasons, please do not post appeals on social media.”
Pokémon GO Hacks
People can still make an appeal if they are banned, but there’s no telling what could happen. Players can still take advantage of the game even if Niantic has made sure it gets rid of the cheaters. For one, Yibada reports a number of tests saying that people can use Lure or Incense in an isolated location to get better or rare Pokémon.
The report added that using Lure or Incense in the event that the “Pokémon radar was total blank” will surprisingly get the player better Pokémon, more than just the usual finds like Weedles, Rattatas and Pidgeys.
Players can also try beach, lakeside and national park to lure rare Pokémon. Places where people think Pokémon will less likely to hang around are actually one of the best places to lure them around.
