Playstation Vue TV Streaming App Hits iPad

Playstation Vue’s app for iPad, eagerly awaited since its announcement, has been finally launched for cities already offering the online streaming service.

The cities currently enjoying the service include New York, Philadelphia and Chicago.

So if you are a resident of any of these three cities and you own an iPad, you can now enjoy online TV streaming service right on your device. With a little bit assistance from your PS4 for signing up, Vue offers PS4 as well as PS3-compatible television shows, video-on-demand and live TV. The service is quite similar to that of cable TV subscription services.

The idea of Vue is that it allows users to have all the content on a single platform, enabling one to discontinue TV subscription.

The service includes a number of high-profile stations over basic cable channels, like TNT, HGTV, TBS, TLC, USA, Comedy Central and even more. However, channels of Disney are not included within the service.

The service is available for multiple packages on PS4, starting from Basic to Core and Elite and is quite comparable with Sling TV available on Xbox One. Apart from delivering video-on-demand the service also lets users store episodes for 28 days, track favorites and recommends new shows.

We can expect the expansion of the Playstation Vue app for iPad during the next weeks.
