It is not likely for “Person Of Interest” to go down without a bang and without a long-lasting impression on the minds of its fans. Will Finch be the one to sacrifice himself to save mankind from the clutches of the evil Samaritan?
The stakes are already running high with Finch almost getting killed on his way to infiltrate the NSA in the penultimate episode of the series. However, he does manage to plant the virus, with a little help from his trusted comrades, Reese, and Shaw, which is going to bring down Samaritan for good.
‘Person Of Interest’ Season 5 Episode 13
However, things are not looking that good for Harold, in the final episode of season 5, which is, unfortunately, the series finale too. According to TV Series Finale, the showrunner have hinted that rather than a bloodbath, as the fans might expect the finale to turn into, the series finale will be “more of an emotional” affair.
One can already sense the impending emotional wreckage with Greer making it clear in episode 12 that the end of Samaritan would also mean the inevitable death of Finch’s Machine as well. Would Finch want to live in a world where his beloved creation no longer exists?
‘Person of Interest’ Series Finale
CarterMatt has stated the synopsis of “Person Of Interest” season 5 finale as follows:
“Finch, Reese, Fusco and Shaw embark on one last mission to prevent Samaritan from destroying The Machine and cementing its hold over mankind, on the series finale.”
The finale teaser released by the network further emphasizes the fact that the partnership between Reese and Finch is drawing to an end. Finch is heard making a farewell speech to Reese: “When I hired you I couldn’t have anticipated you would become such a good friend… I am afraid this is where our partnership ends… goodbye John.”
Will Reese manage to save Finch from danger or will Finch end up losing his life?
