The fact that a good smartwatch for Android users has not been developed by Google comes as a surprise for most of us. The latest Pebble Time, developed by Pebble, has been stealing the spotlight for quite a while now.
Pebble Time finds its spot somewhere in the middle when compared to the Google watches running on Android and the expensive Apple Watch.
Pebble Time is handsomely crafted with the glass watch face and the gray stainless-steel bezel. The smartwatch is very lightweight as it is made largely of plastic. It’s available in three colors: red, black and white. The color bands are replaceable with the standard 22mm leather and nylon watch bands.
Each and every version of Pebble Time has a 1.25-inch color e-paper display. It is not a touchscreen, and users are provided with three buttons on the right and one on the left.
The apps available on Pebble Time are simple bits of dynamic information with little interactivity. Few of the available apps include Pandora, Evernote, PayPal, RunKeeper and others. Also, the watch has no built-in way to monitor battery life or send emails and messages.
Pebble Time also provides users with the option of downloadable watch faces.
