Pebble’s firmware update has made sure the smartwatch does not disturb its owner when he/she is in dire need of quiet time. The update also uses 50% less power, giving users enhanced battery life.
Pebble has started rolling out new firmware for its Pebble Time watch. Apps for both the operating systems, Android and iOS, have been updated.
What to expect from the update
The update has brought some interesting features to the smartwatch:,
i. Quiet Time
ii. Standby Mode
iii. Supports German, French and Spanish as display as well as voice languages
Quiet Time allows users to stop notification alerts. Now you can have a peaceful sleep. You can also attend meetings without your watch disturbing you. Standby Mode is still in beta, but this feature makes sure your Bluetooth turn off automatically if the watch has not been used for half an hour. Now that’s a smartwatch. The company claims that “Standby Mode” will help the watch save power. The best part is that the user will not have to turn on the Bluetooth manually. It will be turned on the moment it senses movement.
The update has fixed all stability issues and bugs along with the way calendar reminders are displayed on the timeline.
