With the original vampires out of the way, there is no one except Vincent to prevent Marcel from taking back New Orleans. Is “The Originals” Season 4 all about a showdown between Marcel and Vincent?
‘The Originals’ Season 3 Finale
For the first time in the history of “The Originals”, all the members of the Michaelson family have been incapacitated. With Freya poisoned, Rebekah cursed, Elijah and Kol suffering from a deadly bite, and Klaus in excruciating pain due to Papa Tunde’s blade, it’s no wonder that Marcel is in a jovial mood.
Marcel was the king of New Orleans before Klaus decided to move into the city and make it his home again. After three seasons of existing under the shadow of Klaus, Marcel finally has the chance to reestablish his empire and become the undisputed leader of the people of New Orleans once again.
‘The Originals’ Season 4
“He has his own code of honor. He wants what’s best for the city of New Orleans even if that means He’s got to punish and execute the people that would try to disrupt the peace that he has established… He will never have to back down from anyone ever again,” said Michael Narducci, in an interview with TV Guide.
However, there is one powerful individual who could create a problem for Marcel and his dream of taking back his city – Vincent. He is the only one left with enough power and brains to go up against Marcel. After all, he, with his witches, is the perfect counter balance to Marcel and his vampires.
Narducci said in a different interview with TV Line:
“The great thing about Vincent is that he’s his own man. We’ve seen him stand up to the Mikaelsons, and we saw him recognize the courage and beauty of Cami. He has friends who are police officers, and he has witches he’s sworn to protect. He has a strong moral compass, and I think if Marcel stepped out of line further, becoming the kind of king he was when we met him in Season 1, Vincent would step up and have something to say about that.”
So will “The Originals” Season 4 host the ultimate power battle between Marcel and Vincent?
