“Orange Is The New Black” star Laura Prepon reportedly got engaged with her 35-year-old beau Ben Foster. The actress was spotted wearing a ring on her engagement finger at the premiere of “The Girl On The Train” in New York City on Tuesday.
A source close to the couple confirmed that the duo is planning to walk down the aisle soon after coming out in the open in July this year.
“She was holding onto Ben and was all over him,” the Us Weekly quoted the source as saying. “They were really close, talking and laughing [at the premiere].”
The premiere night also marked the pair’s first official public appearance as a couple. However, the “Orange Is The New Black” actress has, reportedly, known her fiancé since she was 18. According to a report by the People magazine, Foster is friends with her “That ’70s Show” co-star Danny Masterson.
Laura Prepon is playing Cathy in the movie “The Girl On The Train” based on Paula Hawkins’ novel of the same name. The actress has previously dated Robin Wright of “House of Cards” for three years before calling it off, the Mirror reported.
The actress also practices Scientology and joined the religion in 1999. According to her, Scientology has helped her gain control over her emotions, making her more relaxed.
“The auditing has stripped away all of this charge, false ideas, decisions and mis-emotions that were affecting me,” Prepon had previously said. “I recently had one of my biggest cognitions in a New Era Dianetics session.”
She added, “I spotted this decision I made a long time ago that was affecting me to this day. It was a huge realisation… When you really cognate that you are a thetan and you have a mind and body, and that the MEST [mind, energy, space, time] universe does not control you – it puts things into perspective. It takes the weight off you and things become very easy.”
