“Orange is the New Black” season 3 release has come six hours early than as expected. The third season debuted Thursday, 6 p.m. PST on Netflix. The release was confirmed on Twitter.
The episodes of the prison dramedy are available to watch now. The availability was announced in the middle of OrangeCon. The invitation-only fan event was held in New York and cast members including Uzo Aduba, Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Laverne Cox, Natasha Lyonne, and Lea Delaria were present in the event, reported Variety.
Netflix’s tweet came as a surprise to the fans who were eagerly waiting for new episodes. However, no reason was sighted by the company for such action.
In the season 3 of “Orange is the New Black,” Mary Steenburgen will be seen as Mendez’s mother and Lori Petty will return to action. Selenis Leyva will be seen as Gloria, Samira Wiley as Poussey, Polenko as Daya, Adrienne C. Moore as Black Cindy, Yael Stone as Morello and Nick Sandow as Joe Caputo. As expected from the trailer, Laura Prepon will be visible in all the episodes of the series.
Season 4 is already renewed by Netflix, which may be the foregone conclusion to the series.
