So, you have already got the news that Elodie Yung is going to play the role of the gorgeous and mysterious woman, Elektra, in the upcoming season of Marvel’s Daredevil, to be streamed on Netflix in 2016. The Executive producer and Head of the Marvel Television has been noted saying that after a thorough search across the world they have found Elodie to be the perfect match to embody the character of Elektra. Elodie young graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She is also a black belt karate champion, which gives her the right physique and expressions to embody Elektra. Elodie is not actually a new entrant to the industry; rather she is quite a veteran.
Her acting career started with the small screen. In 2002-2003, she played the role of Jade Perrin in a French TV show named “La vie devant nous” before debuting in her first film The Great Challenge in 2004.
Until 2010, she continued to work in both television and films. In this span she worked in television shows like “Mademoiselle Joubert” and “Les bleus: premiers pas dans la police” where she played the role of Laura Maurier and gathered much applaud for her performance.
In this span of her professional life, her film career was also taking a fly; between 2007 and 2010 she had played prominent roles in movies like Fragile, Home Sweet Home, Little Wenzhou, District 13: Ultimatum and Operation Casablanca.
In 2011, she played the role of Miriam Wu in the Daniel Craig starrer movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Since then her career has taken off, but she picked her roles with care.
In 2013, she appeared as a ninja in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and currently she has four films under her belt: Still, Dreck, 10 Things I Hate About Life and the adventure epic fantasy film, Gods of Egypt, which are in various stages of filming and post-production.
The Daredevil Season 2, to be released on 2016, will be her comeback to the small screen after 2007.
She also holds Master Degree in Law from the University of Paris.
