No Change in Mortgage Interest Rates at BB&T on April 7, 2014

At the beginning of a new trading week, the US based mortgage lender, Branch Banking and Trust Corp (NYSE: BBT) made no absolute change to its benchmark 30 year fixed mortgage interest rates. In the new mortgage charts released by the bank on April 7, 2014, the standard home purchase and refinancing home loan deals are coming out at the same interest rates as towards the end of the last week.

To start with, the standard, long term home financing section of the bank’s portfolio highlights the 30 year fixed rate mortgage home loan deals at an interest price of 3.875% and an annual percentage rate of 3.998% today. However, in the relatively shorter home loan section, the interested borrowers can spot the ideal 15 year fixed rate mortgage home loans being traded at an interest price of 4.375% and being backed by an annual return rate of 4.931% today.

For the mortgage shoppers, who aren’t interested in going for the standard home loan deals or the short term financing options, the bank offers its exclusive, midterm, 20 year fixed rate mortgage home loan options at an interest cost of 3.375% and an annual percentage yield of 4.004% this Monday. On the other hand, the shortest, 10 year fixed rate mortgage home loan schemes are coming out at an interest rate of 3.875% and an annual return equivalent to 4.522% today.

The overall picture remained unchanged in the refinancing mortgage section as well, where, the popular, 30 year fixed rate mortgage home loan deals, are still being advertised at an interest rate of 3.875% and are carrying an annual return rate of 3.998%. Alternatively, the short term, 15 year counterparts of the 30 year refinancing fixed rate mortgage home loan plans are made available to the interested customers at a lending price of 4.375% and an APR yield of 4.931% today.

The potential borrowers, who find 30 year time period too long for refinancing their existing investments and are not happy with the interest rates that accompany the short term deals, can opt for the exclusive, midterm, 20 year refinancing fixed rate mortgage packages, which are currently priced at an interest rate of 3.375% and are accompanied by an annual return rate of 4.004%. However, the shortest, 10 year refinancing fixed rate mortgage deals can be locked in at an interest rate of 3.875% and an annual percentage return of 4.522% this Monday.
