This week will see the release of a brand-new colorway of the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 10. The lace-less performance basketball sneakers will be offered in bright pink with white and black hints.
The upcoming colorway of the LeBron Soldier 10 is dubbed as the “Kay Yow.” Nike has partnered with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to continue raising awareness for the fight against cancer. The eye-catching silhouette is expected to be a hit among sneaker collectors and basketball players who want to make a statement on the court.
Kicks On Fire noted that the shoe sports a vibrant pink mesh upper with darker shades of pink on the three straps. The midsole and the LeBron logo are in white while the Nike swooshes on the heel and outsole are in black. The Kay Yow logo can be found on the tongue and heel pull tabs of the shoe.
As far as performance goes, the LeBron Soldier 10 “Kay Yow” is built for maximum explosiveness. It is well-suited for those who play with extreme power and athleticism like LeBron James.
The shoe includes two bottom-loaded Zoom Air units. There is one in the forefoot and one in the heel. Sitting atop the two cushioning bags is an injected Phylon midsole.
Support and lockdown are taken care of by the three straps along the upper. The forefoot and midfoot straps are durable but not stretchy. On the bright side, the top strap is made of an adjustable rubber material to ensure custom support for the ankles and heels.
Nightwing2303 applauded Nike for trying something new. The shoe fits like a glove thanks to its three-strap setup. The footwear reviewer advised would-be consumers to go true to size if they plan on getting the latest offering in LeBron’s budget-model collection.
The LeBron Soldier 10 “Kay Yow” will hit online stores on Thursday, September 15. Prices range from $80 to $130, as per Nike.com.
