The Miami Dolphins could do well to consider a change in their quarterbacking needs with Ryan Tannehill not exactly turning out to be the solution to the charges of coach Adam Gase. Could the recently reinstated Johnny Manziel be in the cards?
Johnny Manziel is coming off a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy but is currently without a home. Manziel is coming off a season with the Cleveland Browns but was eventually released following a celebrated domestic charge.
As one can see, Manziel has had his share of off-field issues. He has become a party animal which has in turn brought nothing but trouble for the former Heisman trophy winner. Could this be the kind of player that can turn the Miami Dolphins’ campaign around?

Gase Needs To Make A Move
The man in the hot seat right now is obviously Gase. He needs to understand that Tannehill has been around for five seasons, a time-frame that should be more than enough to see if a player can make or break at the position, Fansided reported.
That said, it makes a bit of sense to take a chance on Johnny Manziel. But the trick part about signing up the 23-year-old player is his focus for the game. Distractions are unlikely to go away just like that and this is something that could make Gase weigh his options.
Given that there are only a couple of formidable quarterback options for the Dolphins right now, considering Manziel could be an option for Miami.
Tannehill ranks 21st in NFL passer rating with 87.3, according to the Palm Beach Post. Somehow this should render a sense of urgency though 28-year-old player believes he can work things out.
That positive outlook should be music to the ears of Gase though it would help if the Dolphins were performing better than where they are now.
