Taylor Hart: What can Eagles get?
Hart has had a start-stop career since entering the league a few seasons ago. The 25-year-old has started only one game and has registered a total of 12 sacks from 14 games. Since Hart hasn’t done enough to find playing time for the Eagles, it could prove difficult for general manager Howie Roseman to find any takers.
Then again, the Eagles shocked everyone with the acquisition of Dorial Green-Beckham by giving up offensive tackle Dennis Kelly. Therefore, it’s wise to rule out a trade that would benefit the Eagles.
Bleeding Green Nation, a fan website for the Eagles, argues that the team has no requirement for Hart since Fletcher Cox and Bennie Logan are the No.1 and No.2 options at defensive tackle.
More Rumors: Eagles To Make A Blockbuster Trade?
“The Eagles are more than set at starting defensive tackle with All-Pro star Fletcher Cox and rising talent Bennie Logan. Veteran Mike Martin appears to be one of the top backups despite missing the first few preseason games due to injury. Beau Allen appears to be the fourth defensive tackle while undrafted rookies Destiny Vaeao and Aziz Shittu could be fighting for a fifth spot.”
Earlier this week, there were several reports that Roseman is not done “wheeling and dealing” and remains open to engage in trade talks in an effort to improve the roster.
La Canfora reported that the Eagles are seeking linebackers and are willing to give up some of their defensive linemen, the likes of Taylor Hart.
“The Eagles were looking for linebackers for a while before settling on signing free agent Stephen Tulloch. They’ve also been sniffing around on corners, and other general managers get the sense that Roseman is always working the trade angle and trying to see who could become available,” wrote the NFL insider.
