Will Arian Foster land in Miami Dolphins? The former Texans’ star running back, Arian Foster is visiting the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, according to a league source.
This is Foster’s first free agent visit, as reported by the Chron. Former Dolphins’ running back Lamar Miller has signed a four-year, $26 million contract with the Houston Texans. Also, Miami’s offer-sheet for free agent running-back C.J. Anderson was matched by the Denver Broncos, leaving the franchise in the hunt for a running back.
Free agent Chris Johnson also opted to stay with the Arizona Cardinals after paying a visit to the Dolphins. The 29-year-old Foster suffered a torn Achilles tendon during a road loss to Miami in October. The running back is training twice a day, according to the directives elder brother Abdul Foster, after he was released last week.
“Arian’s doing great,” Abdul Foster said about his brother’s recovery.”When you go through stuff like this, you say, ‘OK, I’m financially set. I don’t need to do this to take care of my family, but, at the end of the day, do I still love this game? Is there still a passion for me?’ The reason I’m excited is because Arian is still passionate about football.
“That’s always a question when money is involved and you’ve made your mark in the league. Do you still have a desire to play in the league? Arian still does, which is exciting to me. The good part is he’s motivated. He’s definitely putting in the work here.”
Foster will be turning 30 in August. He has featured in 25 games over the past three seasons. Foster is expected to be 100 percent fit by this summer, as reports the NBC Sports.
