Rams RB Todd Gurley was the star of the show against the cardinals on Sunday. Earlier, the rookie running back said that he hasn’t showed his explosives yet.
Gurley covered 146 yards with 9 carries. He set up the record of being the first rookie to cross 100-yard mark since Adrian Peterson did so in 2007.
“Man, I knew he was gonna be special from the get-go,” William Hayes said. “But I wasn’t expecting that much. I saw today that his future’s gonna be very, very bright.”
After his sixth carry for nine yards, Gurley set the ground on fire.
“You know how it is if you’re having a good game and it’s rolling,” Gurley said. “Then, you know, you keep the hot hand hot.”
Gurley, 10th overall pick of the season, has been able to prove his worth in the Rams squad. After Sunday’s display, he’s too hot and talented to be seated on the sidelines.
David Johnson had a roller-coaster game. He grabbed a nice touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.
