Marvel Studios has released a new batch of Captain America: Civil War posters featuring heroes face-to-face with each other. With its North American release set after two more weeks, fans of the Marvel franchise are gearing up for the greatest superhero bout of the year.
Captain America: Civil War already held its world premiere in Los Angeles last April 12, 2016, but it seems the marketing team is still on overdrive. Collider reported that Marvel Studios released posters for the Chinese and Russian markets in their country’s respective language.
The Russian posters were written in Cyrillic depicting two heroes in the film in a face-to-face pose reminiscent of a boxing match. The Chinese posters were written in Mandarin depicting one superhero in the film striking a pose in front of Captain America’s shield.
The events of Captain America: Civil War have already been set in previous Marvel Studios films with tensions between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) always seen in the films. The scenes are often nothing more than petty misunderstandings and are quick resolved to combat the looming threat.
This time, the lines are clearly drawn, as both superheroes fight for what they believe in. Other heroes, Avengers or not, are forced to choose sides between who they think is right. Aside from the members of Avengers, several comic book heroes will also make an appearance in the movie, including Spider-Man and Black Panther.
Screen Rant has revealed the full collection of the recently released posters on their website. They also included the list of heroes who appear in the Chinese and Russian posters.
With early positive reviews and an ensemble cast, the film is set to live up to the hype. Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6 in North America.
