Imagine having a yacht that allows you to soak up in the jacuzzi and enjoy hot cocoa by the fire later on. With the new Bugatti yacht, this has become possible. The brand new Bugatti Niniette 66 is all about celebrating luxurious excesses. It is a sleek and sexy yacht that can easily make you feel like you’re cruising on the water like James Bond.
Building boats is part of Bugatti’s tradition.
The Bugatti Niniette 66 is the result of a collaboration between supercar maker Bugatti and motor yacht builder Palmer Johnson. For Bugatti, working on a yacht felt perfect as it once focused on the business of building boats anyway. In fact, the company was once commissioned by Prince Carlo Maurizio Ruspoli to create a speedboat back in 1930. When the boat was done, company founder Ettore Bugatti christened it Niniette after the pet name of his youngest daughter Lidia.
“The Niniette is a genuine member of the Bugatti family,” remarked Bugatti design director Etienne Salomé in a statement. Today, the Niniette legacy proudly continues in Bugatti.
The idea to make a momentous collaboration between Bugatti and Palmer Johnson came together in 2015. The goal was to create a sport yacht that reflected true Bugatti DNA. Not long after, the company presented the first renderings of the yacht to a number of potential buyers, some of them current Bugatti owners. They expressed remarkable interest in the project.
However, the potential buyers made one key request. That is, to give the yacht a closer connection with the Chiron, the Bugatti supercar launched in March 2016. With this in mind, the designers and engineers returned to the drawing board. Eventually, they came out with the Bugatti Niniette 66.
The Bugatti Niniette 66 spans 20 meters long. It’s a grand masterpiece that commands attention immediately, even from afar. “Even from a large distance when entering a port, the Niniette will always be recognized as a true Bugatti,” remarked Salomé.
Palmer Johnson was responsible for its unique hull design that improves the stability and roll dampening of the yacht even when cruising at high speeds. The yacht has an impressive maximum speed of 44 knots. There is also an extensive use of carbon fiber, which gives the boat a more structural rigidity while increasing efficiency and reducing weight.
Yacht Living At Its Finest
Onboard, the yacht is on a class of its own. There is a large Bugatti horseshoe interior lounge with a seating area where natural light shines through. Also, there is a master suite that comes with a double bed. This is located next to the yacht’s own salon.
On the yacht’s sundeck, owners can enjoy soaking time in the combined jacuzzi and champagne bar. Meanwhile, right near the forward seats is a fire pit centerpiece that easily provides warmth and comfort during cold nights. According to a report from The Verge, the Bugatti Niniette 66 comes with a price tag of $2.2 million. And for this price, Bugatti boasts that owners have a wide range of customizations available.
