On Tuesday night, R&B singer Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay were glad to welcome their baby boy. But when Crystal gave birth to their baby, they almost had a difficult time.
The R&B singer’s baby was about 6 pounds, 8 ounces, and 19 inches long. Page Six states that on Wednesday morning, Crystal took to her Instagram account and posted, “Prince Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr. has arrived.”
“It was the scariest delivery ever and I ended getting an emergency C-section cause of complications, but with the help of my amazing doctor @drsherryr and my super calming husband @neyo I was able to get through it all and come out with the best reward in the world… SJ!!!!”
As reported by E Online, the nickname of Ne-Yo and Crystal’s baby is SJ, which stands for Prince Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr.
However, Ne-Yo and her wife already have two children. Ne-Yo posted on his Instagram this week to convey his excitement about welcoming his third child. The artist shared a gorgeous pregnancy photo with Renay, showing him holding his wife’s tummy as the couple lay in each other’s arms. Even Ne-Yo’s mother, Lorraine, was excited for the couple’s third child.
People had reported that the 36-year-old Grammy winner and the model first met when Ne-Yo was putting together his 2015 album “Non-Fiction.”
Ne-Yo stated back then, “Our meeting was initially strictly business, and I had planned on shooting a short film with the album.
“Crystal and I met at a restaurant, but she showed up two hours late. Crystal then explained later that she was just trying to get some info on me: who I was, if it was really going to be a business meeting or if I was some creep.”
