Where shall the 2014 MVP finally land next season? With trade deadlines approaching, the four-time highest scorer of the NBA’s future is spinning in the rumor mills. The latest buzz is, the New York Knicks are pursuing Kevin Durant to partner with Carmelo Anthony.
Big Apple teams gets the space to rope in two superstars. The Knicks last tasted blood in the NBA way back in 1973. Now, the team wants to accelerate its progress with two All-Stars and one in the making. Carmelo Anthony, along with Kevin Durant and Kristaps Porzingis. Knicks president Phil Jackson is determined to make it happen.
If the deal happens, this could be the best combination in the making. As Porzingis has shown his merit can lead the team in the playoffs.
7’3″ Latvian Kristaps plays power forward and center, Durant plays small forward, and Melo can feature in both forward positions.
Currently, Durant is focused on the advance of Oklahoma City Thunder’s chances in the league. Whether the Thunder accept any trade offers for the All-Star is a question. But anything is possible in the trade market next season.
Meanwhile, Durant has been named the best player last week in Western Conference, which shows the kind of form he is in. Last week, he shared the honors with his teammate Russell Westbrook.
