The Houston Rockets are exploring for more trade options. With Dwight Howard expected to leave the team, James Harden wants the Rockets to keep Terrence Jones and Ty Lawson.
There were rumors that the Rockets are eyeing disgruntled forward Markieff Morris from the Phoenix Suns. Ty Lawson is currently struggling with his form. The Rockets initially showed special interest in trading the guard, but now have resisted on the trade. The Rockets management recently denied any trade talks about Lawson.
But Rockets are keenly interested to keep Terrence Jones. Jones is a talented forward, but an injury-prone guy. Trade restrictions on the newly signed free agents has been lifted on December 15 and Jones is one of the 378 players who signed as free agents last summer but now is eligible for free agency.
There are rumors that the Rockets are going to trade off Jones to land Markieff Morris from the Suns at some point between February. Jones is a good scorer and can defend the wings effectively from the prolific scorers of the opponents. If the 23-year-old promising guy gets more playing time with the Rockets, he can blossom to a big star.
