Kenneth Faried and Greg Monroe have one thing in common – their teams are looking for potential trade partners. So in an effort to address the issues for the Denver Nuggets and the Milwaukee Bucks, why not endure on a straight swap?
Faried seems to have worn out his use with the Nuggets. He is singled out as the odd man out of the new mix head coach Michael Malone is cooking but an exchange will need to be at least of equal value both in money and talent.
Bucks, Nuggets Are Potential Trade Partners
Multiple teams have been tied to Faried. The list includes the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors or even the aggressively rebuilding Boston Celtics. Given his athleticism and energy, the 26-year-old power forward could be a great fit. But again, any deal involving Faried needs to be tempting for the Nuggets to bite. How about Greg Monroe?
Nuggets Over Pelicans?
Greg Monroe has faltered in Milwaukee and trade talk involving the 26-year-old center/forward have been on since the February 2016 trade deadline. The New York Knicks were singled out as one possible destination though a previous post explained why the New Orleans Pelicans could be a better fit.
But as in the case of Faried, the Bucks want to get someone that they can use. Monroe has bombed out partnering with Jabari Parker so it looks like he may be dealt off eventually.

Though he has been turning in good numbers, the team win-loss card is something that is important. As everyone knows by now, the Bucks didn’t do so well last season despite Monroe’s acquisition.
If the deal materializes, the Bucks will have to live with a shorter lineup with Faried. Seeing that most teams are adopting the small-ball philosophy thanks to the Golden State Warriors, a straight-up swap could make sense if the two teams come to an agreement.
