Pau Gasol has played his 1,000th NBA game. And Jordan Clarkson is the only silver lining in the Los Angeles Lakers lineup this season. A fair exchange deal is probable among the two guys. One seasoned campaigner, another a promising guard.
The Lakers, after a dismal start this season, are eyeing to rebuild their roster. They are eager to add experience to their lineup by landing Pau Gasol. Kobe Bryant has announced his retirement at the end of this season. There are several virtues owned by the Spanish international. His defensive prowess and offensive abilities have captivated many teams in the NBA.
“Today I’ll be playing my 1000 #RegularSeason game & I wanna celebrate with you!” Gasol wrote in the verge of playing the said game.
Gasol was a key member of the Lakers team which played three consecutive NBA finals. And with Kobe Bryant leaving, Lakers think-tank is looking to bring back the Spaniard before the December trade deadline.
Recently, he is in great form, too. He led the Chicago Bulls to a consecutive victory against the Magic and the Pelicans. Gasol is eyeing the free agent trade market. He wants to opt out of his current contract within next summer.
“As long as I keep playing like this. I know I’ll have some options,” the center told CSN-Chicago recently.
The Lakers may trade some promising players to rope in Gasol, according to sources. And Jordan Clarkson is on the cards, as his performance has raised the interest of other teams.
