Nate Robinson has agreed upon a one-year deal with New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday. Robinson split his last season with the Denver Nuggets and the New Orleans Clippers. The point-guard’s new stop is going to be New Orleans Pelicans.
An ACL injury cut short Robinson’s 2014 NBA season. Robinson, a journeyman is rated as a productive player in the NBA circuit. Pelicans’ back-up man Norris Cole is struggling with a sprained ankle and Jrue Holiday is on a strict minutes restriction. These prompted the franchise to bet on point-guard Robinson.
Pelicans look forward to athletic Robinson and Anthony Davis to form a lethal pair. Tyreke Evans is a likely starting guard for the Pels.
Bo McCalebb Signs For Pelicans
The Pelicans have also signed another point-guard Bo MacCalebb.
After finishing his collegiate career in 2008 in University of New Orleans, the point-guard has never played in the NBA. Rather he had a quite successful career in Europe. MacCalebb has won championships in Serbia, Turkey and Italy. In Italy he won the MVP award in 2012.
The Pelicans are in-secured at the point-guard position as Jrue Holiday is recovering from a stress-fracture and has his minutes numbered and Norris Cole hasn’t been fully fit of recent.
