The Los Angeles Clippers are still in pursuit of Glen Davis. Dallas Mavericks are the challenger of Clippers in this regard. Dallas, too, has shown interest in signing Davis and has taken steps to reach out to the player. The Mavericks have roped in a number of centers this summer. The Milwaukee Bucks also have interest on the veteran big man.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers spoke with Davis’ agents earlier this week, but couldn’t finalize any deal for re-signing the player. Davis is also receiving ample interests from overseas, especially China and Europe, according to sources.

The Clippers have roped in Paul Pierce and Josh Smith to lift their front-court show but are still eager to add Davis in their loaded roster. But reuniting with Davis has really proven to be difficult.

The veteran big man, on the other hand, is exploring his options and is open to playing in foreign land. The overseas offers he is receiving could coerce the Clippers to raise their offer.

Davis has been a longtime favorite of Doc Rivers from their days together at Boston Celtics and was primarily deployed last season for his excellent defensive abilities. The man averaged averaged four points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game.
