Washington Wizards won over the Chicago Bulls, despite Marcin Gortat sitting out with an injured knee on Monday night. Injury plagued the Washington Wizards, which also missed the services of Kris Humphries.
Nene replaced Gortat against the Bulls in the Wizards’ starting lineup. He missed Saturday’s win over the Orlando Magic due to a shoulder strain. Gortat registered 12 points and 10 rebounds against the Magic. He posted an average of 13.4 points and 9.7 rebounds in 32 games.
Wizards are also missing their star guard Bradley Beal, who was out for the 16th straight game due to a leg injury. “We just played as a team tonight,” Wizards coach Randy Wittman said after the game. “I told the guys if we play with this intensity and togetherness, we will win.”
