A stress reaction on the left leg has ruled out Dallas Mavericks rookie Maurice Ndour for an indefinite period, according to reports.
Ndour had a decent stint in summer league with the New York Knicks in Las Vegas this season. Then he joined the Dallas Mavericks and had a strong training camp session.
The 6-foot-9 Senegalese was brought in the Mavs roster for his defensive versatility. His show in the summer league with the Knicks was impressive, especially his 7-foot-6 wide spin proving his defensive abilities earned him a deal at Dallas.
Now the injury would worry the Mavs think-tank. The Senegalese has joined the long list of injured guys in the Mavs roster, including Deron Williams, Wesley Matthews, Chandler Parsons, Javale McGee and Dwight Powell.
The characteristic feature of the stress reaction is that the concerned player is feeling pain in the leg due to load and stress. The extent of the injury could cost Ndour a roster spot this season, according to reports.
