After a high-speed car chase in which he was a passenger, Atlanta Hawks’ forward Mike Scott was arrested on Thursday.
According to police sources, they tried to pull over a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe for a routine traffic duty, but the truck sped away, reaching up to 98 miles per hour.
After a two-mile chase the car was caught, and the cops found more than an ounce of marijuana and 10 grams of MDMA.
Scott Faces Marijuana, MDMA Possession Charges
The charges filed against the driver involve fleeing from cops, attempting to elude officers, following too closely and possession of drugs.
The charges brought against Mike Scott are felony marijuana possession and the possession of a schedule 1 drug.
Scott’s brother faces additional charges.
The Atlanta Hawks’ management declined to comment further on the issue, though it is fully aware of the proceedings.
Scott, who averaged 7.8 points per game last season, is a back-up forward in the Hawks’ roster.
