With NASA formally introduced the new zodiac sign chart, which includes the new sign Ophiuchus, many have become curious about the personality traits of those who were born under this sign.
As previously reported by the Morning News USA, NASA has officially updated the 12 signs of the zodiac as first introduced by the early Babylonians some 3,000 years ago. Reinstating the sign of Ophiuchus, which the Babylonians first left out so as to leave only 12 signs throughout the year.

But after careful deliberation and study, NASA decided to reinstate Ophiuchus for after all, this sign aligns with the Sun at least 18 days in a year. Individuals who are born between November 29 and December 17 will have the Ophiuchus sign.
According to an article from Bustle, Ophiuchus, pronounced as “oh-FEW-kuss”, is closely associated with an early Egyptian named Imhotep, who lived in the 27th century BCE Egypt and known among the ancient Greeks in different names, including Serpentarius or Aesclepius.
Babies born under the sign Ophiuchus are represented by the symbol of the woman snake handler. The Ophiuchans are often regarded by many as ‘very desirable’. Ophiuchans also seek wisdom and mature successfully in life. While the Ophiuchus is the 13th sign, Ophiuchans’s lucky number is 12, the Bustler noted.
But Ophiuchans are also jealous, arrogant, and secretive, the report added. Adding to their somewhat least desirable attributes, Ophiuchans are also wild temper and their introvert personality leads them to often distrust people.
The website Zodiac Books describe the personality of Ophiuchans and the people in the house Ophiuchus as people who represented unity.
“Its people were spirited, magnetic, impulsive, clever, flamboyant, and at times jealous, power-hungry, and temperamental. At their hearts, they were healers who hoped to one day rid the Zodiac of every ill—disease, violence, etc—and bring everyone closer together,” it noted.
