A famous mountain lion, P-22, was found stuck in a Los Feliz home, as confirmed by the house’s owner Jason Archinaco. The lion was stuck in a crawlspace.
A ranger on the scene identified the mountain lion by the tag on its ear.
“There’s no doubt. I’ve seen the ear tags. I’ve been in contact with the people doing the study. This is P-22,” said Marty Wahl to KPCC.
Wahl works as a patrol lieutenant for California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Wahl also added that the mountain lion itself is not a danger but as it was scared it, could be dangerous. The people in the streets were vacated, and neighbors were asked to stay within their houses until P-22 is rescued. Home security technicians also caught the video of the lion.
The house of Jason Archinaco is quite near Griffith Park, the place where the mountain lion was living for the last 3 years. It came from Santa Monica Mountain.
