Movie News Guide reported that Pia Wurtzbach talks about her Miss Universe crown with pride. She said, “Nothing was ever handed to me. I don’t feel entitled to things. Whatever I have now is a result of my hard work. And I don’t think I’m finished yet.”

She has really worked hard to be able to join the international competition. She joined the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant three times before she got the crown that entitled her to represent the country.

Despite her repeated losses, it did not cross her mind to give up. She owes a lot from her mentor, Jonas Gaffud who developed her personality. Now Pia Wurtzbach is harvesting the fruits of her hard work. She became famous internationally.

Lucrative offers were given to her and she was able to help other people too. Her AIDS campaign has help the government of the Philippines to address the problem of HIV. She also became the spokesperson for the Filipinas.

Miss Wurtzbach recently appealed to stop body shaming and cyber bullying. Before she got the crown, she was also a victim. But she was able to triumph over the bullies and the criticisms.

As for Miss Universe 2016, it will be held in the Philippines and will be hosted by the controversial host of the 2015 pageant, Steve Harvey. He said that he wants to take the opportunity to apologize to the Filipinos.
