Microsoft will most likely release Surface Pro 5 this year. A recent discount on the Microsoft Surface 4 is a clear indication that the company will launch the next generation Surface model, the Surface Pro 5.
As of now, a lot of speculation is swirling regarding specifications and features of the Surface Pro 5. The device will carry a rechargeable Surface Pen that will feature an On/Off button, notification lights and a charging port.
Microsoft experts are trying to find a way to improve battery performance on the Surface Pro 5, which will come as 2-in-1 detachable, leveraging 7 hours. The display will be a 13.3-inch screen, and the device will be powered by an Intel Skylake processor. It will come pre-installed with Windows 10 Redstone 2.
Following the footsteps of Google, Microsoft will include a similar Type-C USB port. Even budget smartphones carry the same feature, so including the port in the Pro 5 won’t be surprising, reports Mobipicker.
There will be three versions of the Surface Pro 5 with varying prices. While the base version with an Intel i5 will be priced at $899, the i7-powered variant will cost you $999, and the i7 extreme will be retailed at $1599, explains Laptop Mag.
As for the earlier versions, the Pro 4 is now available at a $100 discount through Microsoft stores. The actual retail price of the base version of the Surface Pro 4 is $999 but is now offered at $899. The device features 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD. Know more about Pro 4 features on News Everyday.
