Guardians of the Galaxy’s Yondu, played by Michael Rooker, swept the audience off their feet. However, fans were disappointed when it was found that his screen time was less than expected in the movie.
Recently, Rooker was part of a panel at Salt Lake City Comic-Con. One fan took the opportunity to ask him if Yondu would become part of the team in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel.
The 61-year-old actor responded by asking the fan the source of the theory. Was it director James Gunn? Rooker went all the way by calling the director’s phone at the panel.
According to Cosmic Book News, Rooker’s phone call revealed that Gunn’s phone number was “592-0878” after reciting it. The actor hilariously responded that Gunn would have to change his phone number soon.
After Rooker accidentally revealed Gunn’s phone number, the director’s area code remains unknown. The actor later went to call Chris Pratt to talk about Guardians.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 release date is still a year away. However, Gunn has been teasing fans on social media with announcements and hints about the movie.
Recently, Gunn answered queries through his official Facebook page. For now, fans can check out Michael Rooker’s full panel video from Salt lake Comic Con below.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 will be released on May 5, 2017. The movie will reveal new characters like Mantis played by Pom Klementieff and Ego the Living Planet played by Kurt Russell. Earlier this week, Vin Diesel gave fans some insight on his character Groot after the actor got the chance to see a clip from the movie.
