“The Vampire Diaries” has moved to a point where Enzo has finally chosen a side. Michael Malarkey is all overwhelmed by the plot of the TV series and he talks on how all these are framed and more about the romantic connection of Enzo.
When asked about the storyline, Michael said, “If you look at all the facts and way it all out, he’s invested a lot in being there for Damon and Caroline over the course of the last season and a half.” The 32-year-old actor also mentioned, “And I think he feels like that loyalty has not been reciprocated from them. He’s been there time and time again, and nobody seems to appreciate that. What he feels like Lily is providing is a reciprocated loyalty – also a sense of respect.”
Enzo is not entirely sure what has been planned and what the outcome would be. As Michael Malarkey puts it, “The thing is, as much as he’s always been the outsider, now that he’s found his little clique, he’s ironically the outsider again within this particular clique.”
As far as the story is concerned, Bonnie and Damon made an attack on Heretic Malcolm last week in “The Vampire Diaries.” The fallout was obvious after that. The reason is quite unimportant. Damon broke a lamp when he was young. We have seen Enzo kidnap Caroline in the last episode. It was something that Lily made happen.
Enzo is having a hard time dealing with the fact that he has kidnapped his love interest. Though he has to do his duty, it is obvious he will be carried away by her. When discussing “Never Let Me Go,” the latest episode, showrunner Julie Plec has mentioned that they are having a fun time shooting the episode. She is happy with Brian Young, who has written the story for the episode.
