Meizu released two smartphones in a few weeks gap. After the launch of the Meizu M3 Note, the Chinese company brought a re-iteration of its “entry-level” line of handsets, dubbed Meizu M3 to the market. While offering a few minor upgrades, the smartphone is still offered at a cheap price of $92.
One of the notable upgrades is a Mediatek MT6750 with an octa-core CortexA53 CPU, instead of the MT6735 with quad-core. Aside from this, there are striking contrast with its bigger sibling, the M3 Note. The new Meizu M3 is clad in a metal body, sporting a rectangular shape with soft edges. On the rear side, there are arches on the sides matched with thin side bezels.
On the hardware front, the device boasts a 5-inch display enhanced in performance with 720×1280 resolutions. A 2.5D glass protects the screen, while the device looks a lot thinner than its predecessor in its 141.5 x 69.5 x 8.3 mm dimensions. The battery capacity is 2,870mAH, a little more powerful than M2’s 2,500 mAH battery.
The front snapper is 5MP and the rear camera sensor is 13MP with f/2.2 aperture and phase detection autofocus as well. Supported by Full Netcom connection in China, the device has other connectivity options, including Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, but no Wi-Fi ac, according to GSM Arena.
The 16GB/2GB handset is available for $92, while the 32GB/3GB handset is priced at $123. Other than China, the Meizu M3 will take some more time to reach out to international customers. Still, if you want to buy one, bear in mind that the device might work with your operator only partially or not at all. Also, you will have to pay shipping/import tax, which indicates that the phone will end up costing more than its mere price tag $92.
The Meizu M3 handset is available in varied color options, including White, Gold, Grey and Pink color variants, states NDTV. To learn about the availability of the device, keep checking this space.
